Julie Allison is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist, and is certified as a Diplomat of Oriental Medicine by the National Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She received her Masters of Traditional Chinese Medicine (MTCM) from Five Branches University in California in 2012, and is excited to receive her Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) in Dec 2015. Having attended Ashley Hall High School, the College of Charleston and MUSC, she is happy to be home again amongst the Charleston community.
Julie began her medical career as a Cardiovascular Perfusionist. After receiving her degree from MUSC in 2003, she worked in Myrtle Beach and Charleston until deciding to branch out into a more holistic and alternative health care practice. Having studied Western Medicine in addition to Chinese Medicine, Julie incorporates a wide range of knowledge and modalities into her healing practice, and believes in an integrative approach to healing. Utilizing acupuncture, herbs, and functional medicine, Julie treats a wide range of conditions including pain management and sports injury, women’s health, stress, anxiety, and digestive disorders. Through treatment, education, and support, Julie seeks to assist her patients in creating and maintaining optimal health and wellness.
